Hi folks,
It sure has been ages since I wrote a blog, now, never quite managing the time to do so, in the recent past. In any case, life keeps you busy with it's ups and downs, and it's sheer pace today leaves one with little time to contemplate on it's happenings.
I've quite neatly shifted into my third job in the space of three years in this city now, and this time, am going out with a specific plan in mind, that of working part-time so I can focus on cracking one of the most significant degrees in my life, the MBA. This is one wish I've had for many years now, and it looks like it will eventually come true in a copuple of years' time as well.
In the meantime, a part-time job as a customer relations advisor in a rapidly growing contact centre, which deals with troubleshooting for customers facing problems with their modems, and handsets, with a top-class firm is bound to be pretty challenging, and bring out the best in the thirteen of us, who have opted to work part-time, to focus on furthering our qualifications, as well.
It's a growing trend, in big cities, for college students to work as well, to gain exposure to the industry while they're still studying, the "learn while you earn" concept being extremely popular with youngsters in college today. Of course, the competition is also pretty hot in every industry, today, which means you have to ensure you're the best at what you're doing, in order to gain, and maintain a good reputation at work. I'd feel when one is in his early to mid twenties, it is the ideal time to look out for a job which would best the suit the individual's skills, rather than sit and wait for the ideal job to come about, as that can well take a lot of time, with the competition being as high as it is, today.
The best part today is many people dare to look outside of their spheres of work, and take the best options in terms of opportunities, which is a very encouraging sign. One also builds a strong support system with well-placed colleagues and superiors, to ensure that they are there to help when the chips are down as well.
Well, as of now , I'm looking forward to unwinding at our office party today, which promises to be a "class act", with a lot of performances and dances thrown in, and the unwinding session later in the day. A good time to let ourselves go, for those who have been working that extra bit, the last year.
That's all for now, I do promise to write more as and when time, and energy, are as high as they have been today.
Love
Vaibhav.
